The Inspired Office: Kristi's Office in Parkville, MD.

Meet Kristi.

Kristi is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist & owner of Baltimore Family Therapy, LLC.

She loves working in the scope of human relationships, doing some of her best work with couples and families, or with individuals balancing relationship struggles. She has found a niche with teen-girls and their mothers, working on maintaining the peace at home while nurturing a loving foundation that is often left forgotten in the shadows of puberty and hormones.

How long have you been in private practice?

I’ve been in private practice for about 6 years, owner of my own (Baltimore Family Therapy) for 2.

How long have you been in your current office?

I’ve been in my space now for almost 2 years.

What has changed the most about your space?

Everything! It was a dance studio when I first took over. The contractors built it from scratch with my heart and soul behind it.

What is you favorite thing about your office?

My chandeliers. Lighting really sets the tone in so many spaces, but especially in a therapeutic setting. They’re all on dimmers and really make my space comfortable.

What makes your office unique?

My office brings a spa-like vibe to therapy. I wanted my clients to feel like coming to therapy was a true “experience”...not just another doctor’s appointment.

If you could sum up your space in one word, what would that word be?

Gonna be a pain and use two words because I’m really struggling with this one. “Elegantly relaxing.” But if I had to pick one I guess I would go elegant :)

What advice do you have for others as they are creating/updating their offices?

Who are you? What do you represent? What does therapy mean to you? Decorate in YOUR style, not what you think others will like. Likely your clients chose you because something about YOU drew them to you. So...BE YOU!
